Panorama of the Swiss Alps

Lake Constance ➔ Bregenz ➔ Vaduz ➔ Schanfiggerstraße (Arosa) ➔ Lenzerheide Pass ➔ Julier Pass ➔ Silvaplana
After breakfast, the first major day of driving on this Alpine tour begins. From the Golfhotel Bodensee, the route first heads through Bregenz and Altstätten toward Liechtenstein. Along the eastern mountain range near Vaduz, an impressive Alpine panorama opens up early on, before the route becomes increasingly dynamic. The first major driving highlight is the legendary Schanfiggerstraße from Chur to Arosa. Spanning about 30 kilometers, with roughly 360 curves and an elevation gain of about 1,320 meters, it ranks among Switzerland’s most impressive mountain roads. At lunchtime, a specially selected stop in Arosa awaits you, accompanied by a fantastic panoramic view of the peaks. Afterward, the route takes you over the Lenzerheide Pass and the impressive Julier Pass. The roughly 43-kilometer stretch delights with fast combinations of curves, wide hairpin turns, and a fascinatingly barren high-mountain landscape. The Romans used this pass as far back as their time—at the pass’s summit, replica column fragments still serve as a reminder of its long history today. In the late afternoon, we arrive at the stylish Nira Alpina Switzerland Hotel in Silvaplana on Lake Silvaplana—just a few kilometers from St. Moritz and nestled in the impressive lake and mountain scenery of the Upper Engadine.

Highlights: Schanfiggerstraße with 360 curves, panoramic lunch in Arosa, Lenzerheide Pass, the high-alpine Julier Pass

Accommodations: 4-Star Design & Wellness Hotel Nira Alpina Switzerland (Silvaplana)

A Pleasant Drive Between the Engadin and Tyrol

Silvaplana ➔ Swiss National Park ➔ Norbertshöhe ➔ Ladis ➔ Arlberg Pass ➔ Flexen Pass ➔ Hochtannberg Pass ➔ Lake Constance
The second day of driving begins in the famous Alpine landscape around St. Moritz and first takes you through the impressive scenery of the Swiss National Park. Passing through Zernez, the route winds through a region that captivates with its unspoiled nature, wide valleys, and striking mountain formations. The Norbertshöhe marks the second highlight of the drive; with its varied terrain, it offers a charming route toward Tyrol. At lunchtime, a special stop awaits you in Ladis—picturesquely situated on Lake Burgsee and offering a beautiful view of the historic Laudeck Castle, whose origins date back to the Middle Ages. The tour then continues via St. Anton to two of the Alps’ most famous mountain passes. The Arlberg Pass and Flexen Pass combine dramatic scenery with superb driving conditions: winding roads, striking rock formations, and the constant alternation between elevation, narrowness, and open spaces make this section particularly impressive. The route continues through the Lechtal Alps. The Hochtannberg Pass delights with sweeping views and a smooth, harmonious ride, before another section of the route with its own distinct character shapes the return journey toward Lake Constance. Thus, the second day of riding also ends as an intense experience full of elevation gain, classic mountain passes, and the joy of alpine riding.

Highlights: Drive through the Swiss National Park, the winding roads of the Norbertshöhe, the classic mountain passes of the Arlberg and Flexen Passes, and the Hochtannberg Pass

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything You Need to Know

At the start of the tour, we provide each vehicle with a professional two-way radio. This way, the tour guide can keep you informed about the route, photo stops, and breaks without you having to take your eyes off the road.

Since we check into pre-booked hotels in the evening, a standard weekend’s worth of luggage in your own trunk is more than enough. We’re happy to accommodate special transportation requests upon inquiry.

We'd be happy to! The price listed is per vehicle for 2 people (including a double room and meals for both). We're happy to work with you to accommodate single occupancy or special requests.

You don't have to worry about that! All applicable tolls and required vignettes for Austria and Switzerland are already fully included in the tour price. You'll receive your vignettes directly from us upon arrival on the first day during the driver briefing. That way, you can start the tour completely relaxed and without any organizational hassle.

We have something for everyone! To ensure the best possible riding experience, we divide the group into small teams of no more than 5 vehicles plus a guide. This way, we have both more dynamic groups and a more relaxed group for leisure riders who primarily want to enjoy the scenery. We take your preferences into account right from the booking and route-planning stages. We always ride safely, in compliance with traffic laws, and maintain constant radio contact.

Yes, absolutely. We personally inspected all mountain passes, access roads, and—in particular—the underground parking garages at the booked hotels in advance to check their ground clearance and approach angles. Even lowered vehicles can handle the route with no problem.

Basically, all types of vehicles are allowed on our tours—whether sports cars, SUVs, classic cars, or convertibles. The only important thing is that your vehicle is in perfect working order, roadworthy, and has enough power to handle the Alpine passes. If you’re unsure whether your vehicle is suitable, feel free to contact us.
Yes, of course! You can submit a custom request using the “Rental Car / Transportation” option in the booking box. We’ll do our best to accommodate any requests you have regarding the type of vehicle you’d like to rent, or, if you prefer, we can arrange private vehicle transportation to the tour’s starting point.
When you book directly, you’ll receive an immediate confirmation of receipt. Our team will check the availability of hotel rooms and promptly send you your binding booking confirmation, including a travel insurance certificate and invoice (20% deposit, balance due 4 weeks before departure).

If you select the “Rental Car / Transportation” option, you’ll first submit a non-binding inquiry. We’ll get back to you just as quickly to personally discuss your vehicle preferences or transportation details and tailor the offer specifically to your needs.
To ensure an exclusive and smooth driving experience, we strictly limit the number of participants on our tours (typically about 10 to 12 vehicles / 20 people). You can find the exact maximum group size for this specific trip in the details at the top of the booking box (Buybox). This ensures that the atmosphere always remains personal and relaxed.
Our routes are continuously monitored by our tour guides. Should a mountain pass be closed due to weather conditions or roadwork, we always have predefined alternate routes that are just as scenic and enjoyable to drive.

In the event of “unavoidable, extraordinary circumstances,” the provisions of Directive (EU) 2015/2302 apply. If the trip is canceled due to an official travel warning issued by the German Federal Foreign Office, the travel price will be refunded in accordance with German travel law.
