Arrive, take a deep breath, and share the excitement
Your journey takes you to the Golfhotel Bodensee—a stylish starting point in a relaxed setting, with plenty of greenery, tranquility, and just the right atmosphere to get you in the mood for the days of driving ahead. After check-in, there’s time to settle in, have some initial conversations, and take a leisurely look at what lies ahead. During dinner together that evening, the anticipation usually builds all on its own: for legendary Alpine roads, impressive mountain passes, perfectly sequenced curves, and that special feeling when the road, the car, and the landscape suddenly become one.

German Alpine Road, legendary curves, and sweeping lake views
After breakfast, the first big day of riding begins. From Lake Constance, the route leads into the Pre-Alps and along sections of the famous German Alpine Road. Gentle opening stretches, smooth country roads, and the first climbs quickly make for an enjoyable ride. One of the highlights for riders is the Joch Pass, Germany’s highest federal highway. At an altitude of about 1,178 meters, the road winds through the mountainous landscape with its legendary 105 curves, demanding precisely the mix of precision, visual focus, and a clean rhythm that sport-oriented riders love. Passing well-known towns like Füssen, the view opens up to Neuschwanstein Castle before we arrive at a carefully selected stop at a picturesque, traditional inn for lunch. Another highlight is the famous Kesselbergstraße—one of Bavaria’s most renowned scenic routes. It captivates with its dynamic course, smooth curve radii, and the constant alternation between forest, hillsides, and lake views. Later, the Achen Pass offers another striking section that connects Bavaria with Tyrol; it impresses with its sweeping curves and harmonious driving flow, running directly along Lake Achen. In the evening, the stage ends at the traditional Gasthof Hotel Post in the Zillertal.

High-altitude, winding, and a true test of driving skill—the grand finale
The second day of riding starts at Lake Achensee, winding through wooded sections and along stunning waterfront scenery, before the route becomes increasingly challenging. It quickly becomes clear: This day is rougher, higher, and even more winding. A special appeal of this stage lies in the alternation between smooth stretches and more technically challenging sections through the impressive landscape of the Isar Valley. The highlight of the day for riders then comes in the form of a true classic mountain pass: the Hahntennjoch. The road climbs here to around 1,894 meters and is considered one of the most spectacular mountain passes in Tyrol. Tight hairpin turns, steeper climbs, rapid changes in direction, and high-alpine scenery create exactly that mix of awe and exhilaration that defines a great mountain pass. The route continues toward Vorarlberg along scenic high-altitude roads. The stretch via Hochkrumbach and along the Bregenzerwaldstraße is particularly thrilling, with flowing sequences of curves, varying elevations, and dramatic changes in landscape. On the way back toward Lake Constance, a final stretch over a mountain pass adds one last thrill to the ride before the route winds down more gently. Back in Weißensberg in the evening, one thing stands out above all else: two days full of curves, elevation gain, and roads that you didn’t just drive—you truly experienced.

After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye. Maybe there’s still time for one last coffee, a glance at the greenery, or a brief chat about the favorite moment of the past few days. The trip ends, but the memories linger: 105 curves on the Joch Pass, the high-alpine character of the Hahntennjoch, the dynamic Kesselberg Road, deep-blue lakes, dramatic elevation gains, and that special feeling when a road lives up to its reputation.

The only important thing is that your vehicle is in perfect working order, roadworthy, and has enough power to handle the Alpine passes. We’ll do our best to accommodate any requests you have regarding the type of vehicle you’d like to rent, or, if you prefer, we can arrange private vehicle transportation to the tour’s starting point.

Our routes are continuously monitored by our tour guides. Should a mountain pass be closed due to weather conditions or roadwork, we always have predefined alternate routes that are just as scenic and enjoyable to drive.
