Palma International Boat Show 2024: Tradition meets future!
The Palma International Boat Show (PIBS) has set its sails for 2024. For four decades now, the Palma International Boat Show has been an absolute highlight in the Balearic Islands’ event calendar. The historic Marina Moll Vell, once an important commercial port, is now a meeting place for sailors and dreamers and will be transformed into a stage for nautical splendour and innovation from 25 to 28 April. This year’s show was not only a celebration of the past, but also a look into the future of shipping. With a line-up of 295 exhibitors and a fleet of 600 boats, including dazzling superyachts and elegant sailing ships, it offered the 27,000 visitors a taste of life on the high seas. The PIBS reflected the evolution of the fair over four decades – from a modest local exhibition that originated in the port of Alcudia to an international showcase of maritime luxury, in the heart of the Mediterranean metropolis of Palma. The port of Palma is a symbol of change and permanence. He has welcomed kings and merchants and witnessed how Palma de Mallorca has developed into a cosmopolitan hotspot. With its picturesque promenade, lined with palm-lined avenues and historic buildings, it provides a stunning backdrop for the Boat Show. The Superyacht Village, an exclusive area where luxury yachts were presented and deals could be made, presented 80 luxury yachts this year. Each of these luxury yachts is more than 24 meters long and attracted a large number of potential buyers and charter clients. The history of the Palma International Boat Show is rich in milestones. From its beginnings as a small local event, it has developed into a globally recognized event. It has set trends and become synonymous with quality and excellence in the yachting world. The Palma International Boat Show is not just a collection of magnificent boats – it is a living workshop full of dreams and ambitions. It is a place where the present and the future meet.
